You Can Never Feel My Pain OSCAM Speak Session

In collaboration with Sanquin, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Erasmus MC, ZonMw, and guest curator of the exhibition *You Can Never Feel My Pain*, Louisanne van Hooff, we are organizing an OSCAM Speak Session on July 12 about sickle cell disease, its treatment, and cure.

Together with Chantelle Rodgers (moderator), Priscilla Reynolds (nurse/sickle cell patient), Brian Elstak (artist), and Louisanne van Hooff herself, we will discuss how music and art can be healing and serve as coping mechanisms.

*Kindly note that the opening of our exhibitions/context programs will be documented through filming and photography. By attending our museum, you consent to being filmed or photographed. The captured media may be used for promotional and archival purposes. If you have any concerns about your image being used, please contact the videographer/photographer directly during the exhibition/context program.

*We primarily operate on a Pay-As-You-Like system, allowing you to choose the amount you’d like to contribute for our entrance fee. This approach emphasizes our commitment to accessibility. We strive to eliminate barriers for our audience, with financial accessibility being a key focus.

*OSCAM doesn’t work with a guestlist during openings of our exhibitions/context programs. Visitors need to RSVP via our Eventbrite.

* Let op: er is geen bemande garderobe in ons museum. Bezoekers zijn zelf verantwoordelijk voor hun persoonlijke bezittingen. We raden aan waardevolle spullen veilig te bewaren en geen items van aanzienlijke waarde mee te nemen naar ons museum.

* Houd er rekening mee dat tijdens de openingen van onze tentoonstellingen/context programma’s wordt gedocumenteerd via filmopnames en fotografie. Door deze te bezoeken, stemt u in met het feit dat u wordt gefilmd of gefotografeerd. Het vastgelegde materiaal kan worden gebruikt voor promotionele en archiveringsdoeleinden. Als u bezwaar heeft tegen het gebruik van uw beeldmateriaal, neem dan direct contact op met de videograaf/fotograaf tijdens de opening van onze tentoonstellingen/context programma’s.

*Wij werken voornamelijk met een Pay-As-You-Like systeem, waarbij je zelf het bedrag kunt kiezen dat je wilt bijdragen aan onze toegangsprijs. Deze aanpak benadrukt onze toewijding aan toegankelijkheid. We streven ernaar drempels voor ons publiek weg te nemen, waarbij financiële toegankelijkheid een belangrijk aandachtspunt is. Toegang tot OSCAM-tentoonstellingen is Pay-As-You-Like en een cruciaal element om alle doelgroepen te bereiken. Deze aanpak stelt ons in staat om consequent te investeren in kunst en cultuur voor iedereen.

*OSCAM werkt niet met een gastenlijst voor onze openingen van tentoonstellingen/context programma’s. Bezoekers dienen zich aan te melden via onze Eventbrite.
