From January 26 till June 8, OSCAM presents an exhibition about the iconic hiphop café De Duivel. In addition to being a brown pub where people of all walks of life meet, De Duivel is a creative breeding ground and open stage. Since 1992 pioneers of the hip-hop scene have been connecting, collaborating and experimenting here. Think of names such as Karin Amatmoekrim, Andreas Urhahn and of course our own Marian Duff.

*Kindly note that the event will be documented through filming and photography. By attending the event, you consent to being filmed or photographed. The captured media may be used for promotional and archival purposes. If you have any concerns about your image being used, please contact the event organizers.

*We primarily operate on a Pay-As-You-Like system, allowing you to choose the amount you’d like to contribute for our entrance fee. This approach emphasizes our commitment to accessibility. We strive to eliminate barriers for our audience, with financial accessibility being a key focus. Entrance to OSCAM exhibitions is free, a crucial element to reach our target audiences in Zuidoost, where 23% of households fall into the minimum income category. This approach allows us to consistently invest in new exhibitions.

Van 26 januari tot 8 juni presenteert OSCAM een tentoonstelling over het iconische hiphopcafé De Duivel. Naast een bruine kroeg waar mensen van alle achtergronden samenkomen, is De Duivel ook een creatieve broedplaats en open podium. Sinds 1992 verbinden, samenwerken en experimenteren pioniers van de hiphopscene hier, met namen als Karin Amatmoekrim, Andreas Urhahn en natuurlijk onze eigen Marian Duff.

* Let op: er is geen bemande garderobe tijdens het evenement. Bezoekers zijn zelf verantwoordelijk voor hun persoonlijke bezittingen. We raden aan waardevolle spullen veilig te bewaren en geen items van aanzienlijke waarde mee te nemen naar het evenement.

* Houd er rekening mee dat het evenement wordt gedocumenteerd via filmopnames en fotografie. Door het evenement bij te wonen, stemt u in met het feit dat u wordt gefilmd of gefotografeerd. Het vastgelegde materiaal kan worden gebruikt voor promotionele en archiveringsdoeleinden. Als u bezwaar heeft tegen het gebruik van uw beeldmateriaal, neem dan contact op met de organisatoren van het evenement.

*Wij werken voornamelijk met een Pay-As-You-Like systeem, waarbij je zelf het bedrag kunt kiezen dat je wilt bijdragen aan onze toegangsprijs. Deze aanpak benadrukt onze toewijding aan toegankelijkheid. We streven ernaar drempels voor ons publiek weg te nemen, waarbij financiële toegankelijkheid een belangrijk aandachtspunt is. Toegang tot OSCAM-tentoonstellingen is gratis, een cruciaal element om onze doelgroepen in Zuidoost te bereiken, waar 23% van de huishoudens tot de minimuminkomenscategorie behoort. Deze aanpak stelt ons in staat om consequent te investeren in nieuwe tentoonstellingen.
